Why Junk yards are always your best bet!

junk yard

We’ve all been there, pull the mirror too hard, yanked the door handle a bit too hard, got a flat and ren over the rim too long, forgot to change the oil and now the engine went(oops). With that last one the bill can get to hundreds of dollars on parts alone. Replacing a mirror or door handle can be an easy task for some, but an engine will require a experience mechanic to do the job.

While many people go to the dealership or even the aftermarket store to buy and replace those parts, you don’t have to. A junk yard or scrap yard like Pick and Pull can make it easy in finding the car parts you need very quickly and cheaply. You see, every day salvage yards buy dozens to hundreds of vehicles, all different make, models, colors. They make sure that everything that is combustable and toxic for the environment is taken out, then those cars go the yard to be dismantled by you and me. Now those yards should easily be able to tell you if the vehicle you need a part from is in their yard, some tell you if the part is in the vehicle.
But you may say, well it’s hard labor to go there and pull the part myself, hmmm you can always to to the dealership and get the part from them, just be aware of their prices, they don’t match junk yard prices, a dealership will charge you overhead, labor, taxes and if the part is not in stock you may also be charge with shipping and handling.
Since the prices from a junk yard are less, the taxes will be less too. just remember that by you buying the part from a salvage yard, you will be getting the part the same day, no shipping, just you handling the part, only tools are needed to pull the part.
Like any other business out there, junk yards can be individually owned or be a huge corporation like Pick Your Part which belongs to LKQ Corporation, so prices on parts will very, some places will have it cheaper than others. check their websites or call before you go there. In closing statements I tell you that saving money by buying parts from a junk yard comes easy, just do it.
